A Jacoby Transfer is a convention used after partner opens 1NT. Instead of bidding your 5-card major directly, you bid the suit below your major to ask opener to bid your suit. After partner has responded with the transfer, it should progress along these lines:-

0 - 7......pass......pass
8 - 9......2NT.......3H
10+........3NT.......4H
