A texas transfer is a bid of 4 diamonds or 4 hearts, asking and expecting partner to play in either 4 hearts or 4 spades.
The texas transfer bid of 4 is made opposite an opening bid of 1NT or 2NT.
Keep in mind that in both cases you will have done the maths.
