Bidding practice
The most widely-played natural bidding system in North America. 5-card majors, strong 1NT (15-17), strong 2C, weak twos, Stayman, and Jacoby transfers.
North is the dealer. No one has bid yet. What is North’s opening call?

Planning
Drury is used when you and your partner have agreed that after 2 passes, your partnership can open with 11-12 points.
Drury is designed to check whether that opening bid is actually light, or a normal opening bid. With this safeguard, you can proceed with confidence.
The way it works is that after partner has made an opening bid in a major, you bid 2C. If it was light partner rebids his suit.
Any other bid shows he holds an opening hand.
